Dr. Oded Aharonson's research is broad and includes addressing questions in Mars surface geology, crustal structure, Mercury’s geophysics and magnetic field, impact cratering on various scales, Titan’s lakes and climate, and planetary ice. He is a member of various spacecraft investigations of solar system bodies, including the Mars Exploration Rovers, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, and the Cassini mission to Titan, the Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer, and is the lead scientist for Israeli mission to the Moon, SpaceIL. Dr. Oded Aharonson's is also pursuing research in exoplanets, focusing of characterization of exoplanets via transit effects across the spectrum from the IR to the UV.
