Research Scientist

Currently resides in Texas

Targets of Interest: Earth, Mars, Titan

Disciplines/Techniques: Climate, Geology, Geomorphology, Numerical Modeling, Remote Sensing, Volcanism

Dr. David Horvath's research focuses on the hydrology and climate histories of Mars and Titan, taking a systems-science approach combining numerical modeling of surface, subsurface, and atmospheric systems with analysis of the geomorphology, geology, topography, and spectral data. Recent research includes characterizing the hydrology and climate of early Mars modeling the deposition of Mt. Sharp sediment in the past Gale crater lake and the analysis of an extremely young, pristine pyroclastic deposit on Mars.
