Dr. Bryan Travis
Senior Scientist
Currently resides in New Mexico
Targets of Interest: Asteroids, Ceres, Earth, Icy Satellites, Mars
Disciplines/Techniques: Astrobiology, High-Throughput Computing (Htc), Mineralogy, Numerical Modeling, Remote Sensing, Space-Based Observing
Dr. Bryan Travis’ expertise lies in the application of computational fluid dynamics, especially for systems that couple hydrologic, thermal, chemical, and biochemical processes. His early research focused on numerical modeling of terrestrial processes: from fossil energy resources to environmental remediation to freezing/thawing and microbial activity in the Arctic permafrost. His recent studies have focused on water-related processes on Mars, dynamics in the water moons Europa and Enceladus, and asteroids, especially Ceres.
