Professional History

Dr. Zou worked for the Chinese Lunar Exploration Project (Chang’e 1 to Chang’e 5) from its start in 2007 as a science team member during her graduate work. From 2015-2019, Dr. Zou worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Planetary Science Institute (PSI), as Research Scientist till July 2024, and currently as a Senior Scientist in PSI. She is also member of the Photometric Modeling Group of the asteroid sample return mission OSIRIS-REx, participating in software development and photometric analysis of asteroid Bennu. Dr. Zou is a team member of NASA’s Dawn mission and DART mission. Dr. Zou is currently a member of NASA’s Lunar Vertex team, serving as a co-Investigator on this mission who contribute to the lunar regolith analyses.
