Targets of Interest: Mercury, Moon, Small satellites, meteorites
Disciplines/Techniques: Remote sensing, Tectonics, Geology
Missions: MESSENGER, NEAR Shoemaker
Dr. Sarah Andre's research interests include planetary tectonics, remote sensing, and mapping of planetary surfaces. Current research projects include the characterization and structure of craters and basins on Mercury using MESSENGER image and topographic data and the study of impact basins on the Moon using lunar topography. Dr. Andre is also involved in the development of image processing and stereogrammetric techniques to produce digital elevation models. Other research interests include the physical properties of meteorites and the meteorite-asteroid connection.
