Rebecca Ghent

Dr. Ghent has been a member of the PSI community since 2011, and served as a professor in the Earth Sciences Department at the University of Toronto from 2006 to 2020. In 2020, she moved to Portland, OR to focus on research. She has been a member of the OSIRIS-REx and Mars 2020 science teams, and has been on the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Diviner thermal radiometer team since its launch in 2009. Dr. Ghent was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Smithsonian’s Center for Earth and Planetary Studies at the National Air and Space Museum, and received her PhD in Geology from Southern Methodist University in 2002, studying tectonic structures in Venusian crustal plateaus.
