Lior Rubanenko

Professional History

Dr. Rubanenko recieved his bachleor's degree in Gophysics and Planetary Science from Tel Aviv University, and his Master's degree in Planetary Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science. His PhD work at the University of California, Los Angeles, focused on the reservoirs of cold-trapped volatile near the poles of Mercury and the Moon. Following his PhD, Dr. Rubanenko pursued his postdoc at Stanford University, where we developed and employed object detection neural network to characterize surface processes on Mars and Earth. Dr. Rubanenko joined PSI in 2023.
