Jianqing Feng

Dr. Feng earned his B.S. in Geochemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2006. He then received his M.S. in Astrophysics in 2009 and his Ph.D. in Astronomical Techniques and Methodology in 2015, both from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2009, he began his career as a research scientist at the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NAOC). His work at NAOC was predominantly focused on the Chinese Lunar Exploration Project, where he played a crucial role in data processing and analysis. His research included studying lunar geology through the analysis of data from the Chang’e-1 and Chang’e-2 Microwave Radiometers. Additionally, he contributed to the data interpretation for the Lunar Penetrating Radar on Chang’e-3. In September 2018, Dr. Feng joined the Planetary Science Institute.
