Project Description

Dr. Alex Patthoff will lead the geological analysis which includes mapping tectonic structures, craters rims and their interiors and ejecta, and classifying crater degradation state. Alex will also lead the tidal stress modeling aspect of the work which will inform the ice shell thickness and viscosity limitations for the other models to use. Alex will also assist with all manuscripts and presentations.

Alex is an expert in icy satellite geology. He has extensive knowledge of the geologic history of the mid-sized icy satellites and experience working with Voyager, which data will be used for this project.
