Project Description

Nathaniel Putzig and Matthew Perry of the Planetary Science Institute are providing support for this proposal by carrying out work related to establishing improved 3D imaging methods for SHARAD data, validation of resulting products, delivery of products to NASA’s Planetary Data System, and documentation of methods. Their tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Work with Co-I Foss (now also at PSI) on pre-processing of SHARAD and ancillary data for delivery to PI Sava.
  • Work with other Investigators to develop and apply improved 3-D imaging and velocity analysis of SHARAD data.
  • Validation of 3D results against the previous reference 3D volume and assessment of improvements in the imaging of features within the volume.
  • Work with other Investigators to document methods and improvements in one or more manuscripts.
  • Reformat 3D data to PDS standards and produce label files and other ancillary data needed for PDS archival.
  • Coordinate delivery of products to PDS Geosciences Node.
