Defining the Geologic History and Record of Potentially Habitable Environments in Gale Crater

Co‐I Catherine Weitz of the Planetary Science Institute will make measurements of grain properties to distinguish deposit origin and where varying properties reflect changing geomorphic thresholds, shifting depositional processes, and potential unconformities and builds on her successful characterization of surficial materials at the MER landing sites. Weitz anticipates service as Geo KOP, Geo STL, SPS, and/or SOWG DOC and similarly is willing and able to do whatever is necessary in order to ensure operations success.
