First Production Run of COVID-19 Face Shields Delivered

gavin delivers face shields

Gavin Nelson delivers completed Personal Protective Equipment face shields to the Pima County Health Department as Terry Nordbrock, Executive Director at National Disease Clusters Alliance, welcomes him.

The first 50 COVID-19 protective face shields made using PSI’s 3D printers were delivered to the Pima County Health Department. The frames for the DtM v3.1 Face Shield Personal Protective Equipment were fabricated using two 3D printers.

The shields were assembled following NIH sanitization protocols (assembler wearing PPE and working with sanitized parts on a clean workspace).

The shields are distributed to area health care workers to protect them from Coronavirus.
