PSI participated in the fourth annual Tucson Star Party held at Pima Community College’s East Campus. The event, sponsored by Astronomy Magazine and the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association, offered the public the opportunity to view celestial objects through filtered telescopes or on monitors, as well as learn about planetary science through other activities.
Senior Education Specialist Larry Lebofsky and Education Support Specialist Thea Cañizo represented PSI at the event, and used PSI’s meteorite kits and other specimens that attendees could study and handle.
