PSI’s Eric Palmer held a four-day training session at PSI’s Tucson headquarters on the use of stereophotoclinometry (SPC) for scientists working on the OSIRIS-REx mission that will return a sample from asteroid Bennu to Earth.
SPC is software developed by PSI Senior Scientist Robert W. Gaskell that produces topographic images of a surface that offer accurate and precise landing zone maps on a target body, based on three or more photos.
