PSI’s 2019 Annual Fundraising Dinner was a big success. The event, held at the Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort in Tucson, featured an entertaining keynote address by PSI Senior Education and Communication Specialist and Senior Scientist Pamela Gay who discussed the importance of citizen science, and how citizen scientists have made many discoveries in the study of our Solar System.
More than 100 guests attended. Raffle prizes offered included an Oregon rafting trip, a stay at Hacienda Del Sol, bottle of Octomore Scotch, a chocolate model of dwarf planet Ceres, a Solar System necklace, and many others.
PSI held its first ever live-streamed auction of a piece of space art. Bidding on a scale model of Comet 67P produced on PSI’s 3-D printer was brisk, and topped out at $275.
