PSI researchers gathered at a meeting of scientists working on NASA’s Dawn mission that took place at the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston, Texas Feb. 3-4.

The meeting, titled “Vesta in the Light of Dawn: First Exploration of a Protoplanet in the Asteroid Belt,” covered data collected by the Dawn spacecraft while it circled the giant asteroid Vesta. Dawn is now headed to a research rendezvous with the dwarf planet Ceres, where it will arrive in 2015.
