PSI participated in the Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation’s Science and Engineering Fair and Future Innovators’ Night events at the Tucson Convention Center.

Thea Cañizo, Bea Mueller, Don Davis and Larry Lebofsky enjoyed seeing the work of Southern Arizona’s best young scientists while judging the science projects developed by students in grades K-12. SARSEF said 2,145 student science projects were entered this year.

PSI also had a hands-on activity display table at Future Innovators’ Night. Cañizo and Lebofsky used PSI’s meteorite and rock kits to educate attendees about materials that come to Earth from space, as well as specimens from our own planet. More than 3,600 people attended Future Innovators’ Night, which featured 57 exhibitors.
