PSI participated in the Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Fair at the Tucson Convention Center.

PSI Senior Scientist Bea Mueller, Education Support Specialist Thea Cañizo and Research Assistant Maya Bakkerman enjoyed seeing the work of Southern Arizona’s best young scientists while judging the science projects developed by students in grades K-12. Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation Deputy Director Liz Baker said a record-breaking 2,030 student projects were entered this year.

PSI also had a display table at SARSEF’s Future Innovator’s Night. Cañizo used PSI’s meteorite and rock kits to educate attendees about materials that come to Earth from space, as well as specimens from our own planet.
