Project Description
The work involved in this project is divided into four tasks:
- Task A is to identify lobe field intervals and calculate 2-D fits to the magnetic pressure
- Task B is to characterize the duskside magnetic field bendback and calculate the resulting field-aligned currents
- Task C is to determine how the duskside pitch angle and energy distributions evolve with local time and make comparisons to model predictions
- Task D is to run a solar wind propagation model to predict the upstream solar wind conditions that help give context to the Juno observations in Tasks A and B
