Project Description

Dr. Benecchi’s efforts will be spent obtaining new observations – inclusive of obtaining telescope time, remote observation, analysis of results – with development of any required new data modeling techniques and helping PI Verbiscer to synthesize results within the project. Benecchi will also support the preparation and submission of our datasets to the PDS of which a local node is headquartered at PSI.

Dr. Sickafoose: For this three-year program to observe Solar System objects at low phase angles, Dr. Sickafoose will participate in ground-based observations and data reductions. Her access and familiarity with telescopes in South Africa and through the Las Cumbres network will allow observations from those sites. Her work will consist of writing observing proposals, observing preparation and execution, participation in team meetings, some data reduction, and a small contribution to manuscript preparation. Dr. Sickafoose will be part of a team of experts and we expect her involvement to be 0.1FTE each year for the 3-year period of the project.
