Overall Objectives
All PSI Co-Is will participate in biweekly telecons during the first three months of the study and attend in person the team meeting in Reno, Nevada. All Co-Is will assist with generating the Final Report that will be submitted to the sponsor and disseminated to the scientific community.  Co-I Putzig will serve as the institutional lead for PSI, and he will dedicate additional time to assisting Co-PI Wendy Calvin (Univ. Nevada - Reno) in organizing discussions and preparing the Final Report. Putzig will draw on his experience in assessing subsurface structures and material properties of Mars and their climatological implications using radar, thermophysics, and other remote sensing methods. Sizemore will draw on her experience in theoretical, laboratory, and mission-related research related to Martian ground ice, soils, and climate. Morgan will draw on his experience in assessing the volcanic and the periglacial histories of Mars and their interactions with the climate system.
