Subcontract to PSI from Malin Space Science Systems

Project Description
(1) Provide, under the direction of the Mastcam/MAHLI Principal Investigators, the following science support, which includes, but is not limited to:
(a) Support of the Imaging Science Team and other activities under the direction of the Principal Investigators, including participation in imaging science team and other meetings as a member of the imaging science team and participation in technical discussions with the Instrument Development Team.
(b) Support MAHLI instrument development efforts regarding flight calibration target design and assembly.
(c) Participate as appropriate in the calibration and testing of Mastcam/MAHLI hardware and ground operations system, including ATLO activities as needed.
(d) Lead team efforts for the Imaging Science Team in MSL Project training exercises (e.g., Science Activity Planning Exercise).
(e) Participate as a member of the Imaging Science Team in MSL landing site selection, including Landing Site Workshops and meetings at which analyses are presented.
(2) Provide, under the direction of the Mastcam/MAHLI Principal Investigators, the following science support as time and resources allow:
(a) Support Mastcam instrument development efforts regarding flight calibration target design and assembly.
(b) Participate as a representative of the Imaging Science Team in MSL PSG meetings.
(c) Organize or assist in organization of other field training activities under the direction of the Principal Investigators.
(d) Co-lead, with the PI, the development of the E/PO effort as funds allow.
