Project Description

In this work under the DALI program, the Heterodyne OH Lunar Miniaturized Spectrometer (HOLMS) concept will be advanced from TRL 4 to TRL 6. HOLMS will allow for high SNR, high spectral sensitivity measurements of OH in the lunar exosphere, using a lander or rover platform on future NASA and/or commercial facilities, to address critical questions about the lunar water cycle. Dr. Hendrix’s role is to assist with science goals, mission scenario designs and SNR/performance requirements, drawing on her experience in studying the lunar water cycle based on UV data from LRO/LAMP.
