Project Description

Gareth Morgan is a Co-Investigator on the LDAP proposal A Radar-Based Analysis of Rock Populations and Regolith Properties in the Lunar Maria., led by PI Cole Nypaver of the Smithsonian Institution. This proposal will undertake multiple radar-based analysis and associated mapping tasks to investigate rock distributions and other regolith properties within lunar volcanic terrains.

Co-I Morgan will contribute to the following activities:

Characterization of mare deposits using radar and other remote sensing datasets.

- Undertake regolith thickness estimates.

Application of radar-based mapping techniques to investigate mare deposits.

Support the PI by participating in telecons, manuscript preparation, and attending one

science conference.
