PSI Senior Scientist Elisabeth Adams and her kids, age 3 and 5, celebrated the 16th annual Planet Cookie Day by baking and frosting an array of delicious artwork. Highlights of their handcrafted tasty treats included peppermint volcanoes on Jupiter’s moon Io, two sprinkle ringed planets, Saturn and Uranus, and a tidally locked ultra-short-period planet described in Elisabeth’s recently submitted paper “Ultra Short Period Planets in K2 III: Neighbors are Common with 12 New Multi-Planet Systems and 26 Newly Validated Planets in Campaigns 0-8, 10” (https://arxiv.org/abs/2011.11698
