“The Sky is Falling” was the theme at PSI’s annual fundraising dinner. Westward Look Resort in Tucson.

PSI CEO and Director Mark Sykes offered the keynote presentation “The Sky is Falling” which discussed near Earth objects and the threat they pose to us. Sykes also announced PSI’s new Pierazzo International Student Travel Award that will support and encourage two graduate students each year to build international collaborations and relationships in planetary science.

An after-dinner raffle saw Ann Hoff chosen as the grand prize winner. Of the four prizes offered Hoff selected a specimen from the Chelyabinsk meteorite that dramatically fragmented over Russia.
