The Institute for Student Astronomical Research (InStAR) held a kickoff meeting to promote the adoption of the Astronomy Research Seminar at PSI’s Conference Center in Tucson, Ariz.  PSI Senior Scientist, Paul Hardersen, President of InStAR, organized the event.

About 20 people participated, in person and remotely. InStAR is a non-profit organization that promotes the conduct and expansion – nationally and internationally – of the Astronomy Research Seminar, which is designed to give undergraduate college students an immersive, term-based astronomical research experience.
