The Daily Space, a podcast produced by PSI’s CosmoQuest, has been recognized as a finalist
in the Second Annual Signal Awards in the Individual Episodes – Science & Education
category. The Signal Awards honor and celebrate the people and content that raise the bar
for podcasting.

“This nomination is extra special because this show was created during the pandemic and
we all work remotely from different states,” said Pamela Gay, Director of CosmoQuest and The Daily Space lead writer and host. “We demonstrated that good content can come out
when people work together through video and chat apps like Discord. The future is online.”

The Daily Space is produced by PSI’s Ally Pelphrey, with interviews and hosting by PSI’s
Beth Johnson, Annie Wilson, and Erik Madeus. We are also grateful for volunteer assistance
on aerospace content from Gordon Dewis.

The Daily Space was a daily 30-minute show that started as a Twitch stream, and evolved
into a podcast and TV show on NowMedia.tv. This award is for an episode in the last season
of the show. The team behind the Daily Space is now producing regular seasons of a 1-hour
weekly news show, Escape Velocity Space News.

As a Signal Finalists The Daily Space has been singled out as one of the best in the industry
in its category (it’s among the highest scored work of nearly 2,000 podcasts entered from
some of the biggest creators in the industry) and now competes for the Gold, Silver and
Bronze Signal Award, as chosen by the Signal judges panel in each category, and the Signal
Listener’s Choice, voted on by the online public. These awards are the mark of the
industry’s best in class audio experiences.

Voting for The Signal Listener’s Choice is open through October 5th at 11:59 PM PST. You
can vote at Signal Listener’s Choice.
