PSI Senior Scientist Marc Fries (shown above) and CEO and Director Mark Sykes (seen below) spent a recent Sunday afternoon hunting for meteorites in the Arizona desert.
Doppler weather data provided hints to the possible location of a meteorite fall in the area over a decade earlier, and Fries and Sykes hoped to locate and retrieve some samples. Despite their efforts searching for several hours, however, they found no meteorites but did enjoy a nice afternoon outdoors.
