Project Description

Tasks / work to be undertaken by Co-I Johnson are given below.

Year 1: (0.08 FTE)
Data pre-processing and analysis – preparation of MAVEN data for source depth inversions including selection of optimally quiet data using approaches developed by Co-I previously, updated as needed (including any software development) for the proposed study (2 weeks, 0.04 FTE). Training of graduate student (student with PI Plattner) in data analysis methods, posing research questions and planning and executing analyses. Bi-weekly meetings with student via zoom including prep work and email follow-up, assessment of analyses, preparation of student for internal exams / committee meetings (2 weeks, 0.04 FTE).

Year 2: (0.11 FTE)
Interpretation of inversion results, fits to data, correlations with other geophysical observables (1 week, 0.02 FTE).
Training of graduate student (student with PI Plattner) in assessment of inversion fits to data, posing research questions and planning and executing analyses. Bi-weekly meetings with student via zoom including prep work and email follow-up, assessment of analyses, preparation of student for internal exams / committee meetings and conference presentations. (2 weeks, 0.04 FTE).
Development, submission, and revisions of research article #1 (1.5 week, 0.03 FTE).
Assist with conference abstract and presentation; attend conference for presentation and in-person team meeting (1 week, 0.02 FTE).
