Solar system objects that I have worked on are the atmospheres of comets, Mercury, the Moon, Io, Europa, and Ganymede; the hydrogen torus of Triton, the Saturnian hydrogen cloud, and the Io plasma torus. The general theme has been the structure, dynamics and chemistry of small body atmospheres and their interaction with space plasma. The models developed for this purpose have covered the full kinetic regime from collisionless to fully collisional. Currently, I am collaborating with Jeff Morgenthaler by using IoIo telescope data to better understand Io and the Io plasma torus.
