Research Interests:
Planetary lithosphere and surface processes, including
studies of Mars, Venus, Earth, the Moon, and outer planet satellites. Geology
of Mars, using Viking, Mars Global Surveyor, Mars Odyssey, and Mars Express
datasets for such activities as studies of Martian impact craters, fluvial and
tectonic features, volcanic landforms, and geologic mapping and Martian
chronology studies. Evolution of the surface of Venus utilizing Magellan
datasets (synthetic aperture radar, altimetry, gravity, and emmisivity) for
geologic and structural mapping and relative-timing determinations in attempts
to constrain the geologic and thermal history of the planet.
Education and Public Outreach:
Participate in existing PSI education and
public outreach programs, as well as develop and participate in new E/PO
activities through out the southwest (including new collaborative efforts with the Tucson Unified School District).
