"Asteroid Data Archiving at PSI"

Carol Neese

The Asteroid Subnode at PSI has been archiving and curating asteroid data for the NASA Planetary Data System (PDS) for over ten years. The archive includes asteroid data of every type, from the early spectrophotometry surveys to the multifarious data sent back from the instruments of the NEAR spacecraft mission to the asteroid Eros. These data sets are prepared with all the supporting data and documentation necessary to make them useable by scientists now and decades into the future, without reference to other sources. This talk will give an overview of what we do at PSI's Asteroid Subnode, how to access and use the archive, and what we see for the future of asteroid data archiving.
