"PSI's E/PO Infancy, What Next?"
PSI is becoming increasingly involved with Education and Public Outreach (E/PO). PSI's California office has recently revamped the successful "Journey Through the Solar System" field trip and Elisabetta Pierazzo and Chuck Wood are in the development stages of newly funded educational programs (" The Explorer's Guide to Impact Craters" and "Observing the Sky ," respectively). More recently, a nascent relationship has been established with the Challenger Learning Center of the Southwest located at the Pima Air and Space Museum. Partnerships such as this may hold keys to increasing PSI's ability to 1) gain access to the community at large, and 2) locate additional funding sources. This seminar will provide a status update of our existing program, as well as serve as an open forum discussion for developing strategies for continuing to build our E/PO program.
