Research Interests:

Planetary lithosphere and surface processes, including studies of the Earth, Mars, Venus, the Moon, and outer planet satellites. Geology of Mars, especially using Mars Global Surveyor and Mars Odyssey datasets for such activities as studies of Martian impact craters, fluvial and tectonic features, and volcanic landforms as well as geologic mapping and Martian chronology studies. Evolution of the surface of Venus utilizing Magellan datasets (synthetic aperture radar, altimetry, gravity, and emmisivity) for geologic and structural mapping and relative-timing determinations in attempts to constrain the geologic and thermal history of the planet.

Education and Public Outreach:

Participate in existing PSI education and public outreach programs, as well as develop and participate in new E/PO activities through out the southwest (including collaborative efforts with David Levy at Jarnac Observatory, the Challenger Learning Center of the Southwest, the Flandrau Science Center, and the Lunar and Planetary Lab).
