Matthew Pasek (University of South Florida)

Phosphorus is one of the key elements of life as we know it.  Recently we have proposed that meteorites and reduced oxidation state phosphorus compounds were extremely potent prebiotic reagents on the early Earth.  In this presentation I outline the case for extraterrestrial influences on prebiotic phosphorus chemistry, and discuss the relevance to the possibility of life on Titan.
