MER: Conducting Field Geology on Mars

The twin rovers Spirit and Opportunity have been actively exploring and conducting geological field investigations on the surface of the Red Planet for over four years. This presentation will summarize the key discoveries made thus far about these two regions of Mars with an emphasis on their diverse geomorphology and sedimentology. Future plans and exploration strategies for each rover will also be discussed.
