Spectroscopy for the Holidays

Everyone is swamped with the end-of-semester/year workload and the preparation for the holidays that are upon us. We are in the midst of consuming cornbread, gingerbread, hot cocoa, eggnog, candy canes and more! This light-hearted seminar will present the spectroscopy of some holiday edibles/potables in order to teach us some simple spectroscopic lessons that can be applied to the midinfrared study of Mars. Really!
