Spectra of Desert Rocks
Pasadena, California
Rock and soil samples from arid regions in southern California have been collected and infrared spectra obtained. These spectra are made available below in ascii format. This data has been obtained by Dr. Karl Hibbitts and Mona Delitsky of the Pasadena Office in support of a project whose goal is to use passive optical remote sensing to characterize the trafficability of desert terrains.
