Continuing Work

Our work using this technique (partially unpublished) has already shown that the net deposition rates in the polar areas are much higher than at low latitudes, consistent with results of Plaut et al. (1988, Icarus, 75:357-377). Frost deposition in the polar ice caps apparently carries dust particles onto the polar surfaces. Our results suggest 10-100 times faster accumulation of sediments there.
