Dear Friends,
The ESP project is funded by grants from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Origins Program, the Planetary Society (TPS), and contributions from private individuals like you.
Even small contributions from individuals do add up to make a real difference in our project. For example, donations provide funds to employ student researchers and purchase much needed computer and telescope equipment. During the upcoming year, funds are needed to support educational activities such as bringing our telescopic images into the classroom via the Internet during lunar eclipses or comet observations, analysis funds to allow searching the data for planets and the distribution of our discoveries to the public, support for research personnel, and computer equipment needed both at the telescope and in our downtown offices.
Contributions to our Search for Extra-Solar Planets research project made through the Planetary Science Institute (a private non-profit 501(c)(3) educational institute) are tax-deductible under the income tax code of the United States.
So if you would like to help with this exciting research project at any level, from a few dollars to a sustaining contribution allowing longer term planning and research goals to be reached, please send your donation via check made out to: "The Planetary Science Institute" and mail it to the address listed below.
To make a contribution with a credit card or by transfer of stock or other assets, please contact me at the address given below, or via email and I will arrange the details.
Thank you very much!
