around the world and throughout the solar system. Learn about how impact
craters form and the many variables that can influence the way a crater
looks. Teachers can even request to borrow a set of impact related
rocks for use in the classroom.

Mapping Planetary Surfaces (MAPS) seeks to provide students, science
teachers, and the public an opportunity to experience the scientific
endeavor of investigating the surface of another planet all within the
broader context of understanding maps and how they are created and used by
both Earth and planetary geologists.
