THE ASTROPHYSICS GROUP@ THE PLANETARY SCIENCE INSTITUTE |
The Astrophysics Group at the Planetary Science Institute consists of staff members whose primary research interests are in stellar astrophysics. The group performs observational and theoretical research in the areas of interacting binary stars, large area sky surveys, and novel uses of two-dimensional detectors. They are a major partner in the 1.3-m Telescope located on Kitt Peak, and will primarily use these robotic telescope for study of stellar variability, interacting binaries, and photometric searches for extra-solar planets.
