2005 There have not been many trips to new places recently so there has not been a lot of material to make webpages from. So I'll resort to posting pictures from some short walks around Tucson.Back in January I did a traverse of the front range of theCatalinas. Window Rock is in the rock fin on the right with Oro Valley asa backdrop and Mt Kimball to the left. Chino canyon makes for a short fun canyon in the Santa Ritamountains south of Tucson.You stroll down Chino Canyon, wander around this bend and see wherethe fun begins. With a dissertation, a toddler and a pregnant wife to lookafter these days, I've started doing these day walks at stupidearly hours in the morning. The top of the Catalinas lit by thejust risen sun.While descending Agua Caliente we pass a small canyon. PicachoPeak is an obvious landmark on the road from Tucson to Phoenix thatmakes for a good short walk. Spring iswildflower and allergy season in the desert.
